AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) has been the pivotal point for developing the 5 core tools that eventually became the building blocks of an effective IATF 16949:2016 Quality Management System. Basically, it consists of Advanced Product Quality Plan (APQP), Control Plan (CP) Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode-&-Effect Analysis (FMEA), Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Statistical Process Control (SPC). The course gives an overview of the 6 core tools and its applications from manufacturing perspectives.

Course Objectives:
At the end of this course, the participants will be able to:
optimize product launching process right from concept through design and manufacturing,
strengthen the supply chain by build-in quality into the components,
identify, prioritize and manage potential risks at various manufacturing phases,
establish control systems to develop stable and consistent production processes,
strengthen the automotive quality management system.
Training Methodology:
The course will be taught based on concepts and requirements as stipulated in AIAG Manuals, supporting with application examples, case studies as well as group discussions. As and when required, simulations and exercises using Excel Spreadsheets or Minitab to further enhance their comprehension on the topic.
Who Should Attend:
The course is suitable for those who have responsibility for development and introduction of new products or a new process. Additionally, product engineers, quality engineers, design engineers, manufacturing engineers, supervisors and, APQP team members and Internal Quality Auditors who have direct responsibility for process standardization and improvement can benefit from this course.
Prerequisites:
The course required participants to bring in working files for APQP and PPAP, and desktop/ laptop (on sharing basis).
