Course Introduction:
Growth in the use of management systems generally has increased the need to ensure that laboratories that form part of larger organizations or offer other services can operate to a quality management system that is seen as compliant with ISO 9001 as well as meeting ISO/IEC 17025. The purpose of this course is to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the laboratory accreditation process, an in depth knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 Management and Technical Requirements, and an effective process for its implementation. The course also serves as the basis for the prerequisite knowledge necessary to undertake comprehensive courses in auditing, which forms part of the laboratory accreditation process.
ISO 17025 addresses every element of laboratory management. It is not exclusive to the laboratory manager, assistant laboratory manager, or quality manager. The standard involves all laboratory staff whose functions relate to the quality of laboratory data generated, and as such all laboratory staff will benefit from this course. The course is essential, but not limited to, anyone in a laboratory management position.
Course Introduction:
After completion of ISO 17025 awareness course, you will be able to:
Get an overview of ISO 17025:2017 and its awareness also.
Familiarize yourself with the high level structure and framework of laboratory management system (LMS).
Get an overview of the ISO 17025:2017 requirements, its clauses and sub-clauses.
Familiarize yourself with the changes in the ISO 17025:2017 laboratory management system requirements.
Understand ISO/IEC 17025 documentation and get an idea of the list of procedures and records required by the laboratory.
Understand the steps for establishing laboratory management system.
Familiarize yourself with ISO 17025 accreditation process and steps for certification.
